Gold vermeil or gold vermeil sterling silver is a thick layer of gold, usually 18K (rose gold) or 24K (yellow gold), carefully layered onto sterling silver. It differs from standard gold plating because of the precious metal base and a thicker gold layer (at least 2.5 microns, compared to less than 1 micron for gold plated) which makes it much more durable.
Gold filled, also called Rolled gold, is a mechanically bonded layer of gold, using heat and pressure, over a base metal, usually brass or copper. By law this must be 5% or 1/20 of gold by weight, which is higher than standard gold plating.
I generally ship orders within 1-3 working days if an item is in stock. Orders are processed strictly in the order they are received. At busy times your order may take longer to process. If there is going to be a significant delay in your order being shipped I will notify you. You will always receive an email confirmation from me when your order has been shipped. Made-to-order items may take up to 4 weeks to ship and I will keep you updated in this regard via email.
I realise that for some with skin allergies, Sterling Silver may not be an option. So, if you or the recipient of my jewellery have sensitive skin and you want to buy any of my earrings, I can offer the alternative of Anchor 316L surgical stainless steel for most of the earrings. I also carry some Anchor 316L surgical stainless steel chain so if you like a necklace or bracelet I’ve made but need it in Stainless Steel, please use the Contact form to make your request and I will do my best to help. Please note that this is a duller silver coloured metal than Sterling Silver so this may affect the appearance of the jewellery. There is no extra charge for this service.
Yes you can. Full details can be found in the Refunds and Returns page, but here’s a summary:
You have 28 days to return an item from the date you received it. To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, and in re-saleable condition. Before you send an item back you will need to contact me, within 14 days, to advise me that you wish to return an item and why.
I will notify you when I have received your returned item. After inspecting the item I will notify you on the status of your refund. If your return is approved, I will initiate a refund to your original method of payment.
Please note You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item, unless the item is faulty. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
I do not accept returns for made-to-order items unless they are faulty.

Yes it is. All payments are handled externally by either Stripe or PayPal, safely and securely.
I currently do not ship outside of the UK
You will automatically be sent an order acknowledgement email when you place an order with me. You will also receive an order update email if there is a problem with anything you’ve ordered and another email to advise you that your order has been shipped. If you are not receiving these emails it may be that they are falling into your spam or junk folder. To avoid this, make sure you set up your email to accept/allow emails from Avery Quinn Rose

You can keep track of your order on the Royal Mail website here using the tracking number provided. In my experience, all parcels arrive eventually, some just take a bit longer sometimes, so I would ask you to please be patient in this regard. The Royal Mail delivery timescale is only ever a best estimate and not guaranteed. Certain postcodes have extended Royal Mail delivery timescales, you can find those affected here

To reduce waste I try to re-use and recycle as much packaging as possible. All my packaging is recyclable and eco friendly. The gift boxes are anti tarnish, FSC certified, recyclable and plastic free.
