These lovely little Keishi pearls are all non-uniform shapes and do look a bit like cornflakes! Keishi freshwater pearls do not have a nucleus and are entirely formed of layers of nacre. As they don’t have a nucleus to act as an irritant, they form nacre in their own unique shapes, mostly flat, but sometimes petal or cornflake shaped, with ripples and bumps adding to their irregular shape. They are very appealing as a modern pearl jewellery option and I love their quirkiness!
These Keishi pearls are dyed green and display beautiful colours in their shiny lustrous surfaces including blue, copper and gold. I’ve paired them with a Sterling Silver hook and eye clasp; simple but stylish. The Keishi pearls are threaded onto 100% natural silk thread so they drape beautifully on the wrist.
The Keishi Pearls measure 6.5mm to 7.5mm. The hook and eye clasp is stamped 925.
This bracelet has a length of approximately 6.75 inches (just over 17cm) and will fit a wrist up to 6 inches (15.25cm). I can increase the length of this bracelet by adding in chain on either side of the clasp. If you require a longer bracelet please contact me using the Contact me form.
This bracelet would make a great gift for a June birthday!
The bracelet will be supplied in a gift box.
Please note: A few of the pearls may have surface imperfections, which are caused by the fact that they are softer than other freshwater pearls and so more susceptible to damage, hairline fractures and that kind of thing, even before they are collected at source. This does not detract from their beauty in my opinion, but it does mean that they need to be handled carefully to avoid further damage.
