The Mother of Pearl beads are dyed, cubed in shape, mixed with natural off-white faceted round Mother of Pearl beads, together with Freshwater Pearls that are natural pale ivory colour with most being curved on one side and flat on the other. These are all genuine, natural beads and therefore some small inclusions should be expected. Inclusions do not detract from the beauty or value of the piece but instead add extra character to the bracelet. The beads all have a very nice lustre. The Mother of Pearl beads measure approximately 3-4mm and the Freshwater Pearls measure approximately 2mm depth and 4mm wide.

The sterling silver clasp is stamped 925 on one side.

The length of the bracelet, to the clasp, is approximately 7.5 inches (19cm). Please note this bracelet does not have an extender chain. If you require one, please select this option before adding the bracelet to your basket. This will provide you with an additional 2 inches (5cm) of chain to accommodate a larger wrist, or perhaps even to wear as an anklet.

Every piece of jewellery is made with care and will give you many years of joy if looked after properly. Here are a few simple tips to keep it looking its best.

Avoid contact with water, lotions, perfumes, hairspray, suncream/aftersun, shampoos, soaps and so on. It’s best to put your jewellery on last, after applying all make-up, hairsprays, perfumes, etc.
It is not advisable to wear your jewellery when swimming, showering or bathing, or in such environments as a sauna, or when intensively exercising (due to sweat being not only wet, but also salty). You should never wear jewellery when using exercise equipment or equipment in the workplace where it could become caught in machinery.
Included with your purchase is a small cleaning cloth which you can use from time to time to give your jewellery a gentle clean and polish. Take extra care with plated metals as cleaning too vigorously may cause the plated surface to become damaged. Gemstone jewellery should not be immersed in water for cleaning as this can damage the surface of the stones. If it needs a deeper clean, I would recommend taking your jewellery instead to a local jeweller that provides such services.
It’s best to store your jewellery in a dark, dry place, like a jewellery box or similar, to reduce the risk of tarnish to the metal elements. However, if tarnish does occur, this can easily be removed using an anti-tarnish cloth.
